Old World Delicatessen - Covina: Delightful Deli & Sandwich Haven

Plenty of items to buy for any occasion. Wine, sauces, meats, cheese, etc. I had the lox and bagel really good except I wish it had capers in it. My friend got the pastrami sandwich and it was very good. The best part was the carrot cake cupcakes!! It was the best I've ever had. I will definitely be back to try other entrees and dessert!

I started working around the area about 5 years ago and one day I wanted soup for lunch and I found this place. I went in and the entire restaurant was absolutely amazing the staff are always friendly and welcoming. The lunch deals are the best, a cup of soup of the day with half a sandwich is hard to beat. I started ordering some of their desserts (especially the carrot cake) and cookies and now I go back just because I’m craving them. My work place moved locations but I still drive over to get a great lunch. I’ve recommended this location to many friends and family and everyone has loved it.

What a great deli-restaurant! Great choices for sandwiches, etc, I got the hot pastrami which was excellent…loved that they had some cool soda choices, instead of always the same think, they had craft cola, root beer and cherry soda, plus all the others but I thought that was a great plus….very clean and food was great

I very much enjoy this peach of a restaurant and have only been there a handfull of times. My single beef is the Old's old chocolate cake slice they sent me home with. It was "packaged" a week before they sold it to me and I have to wonder: how long before that was it baked? The cake was dryyyyyy. Would they have sold me non-dry cake if I sat and ate it there? I can only imagine how difficult of a problem this is for a small restaurant, but I'll just go to Porto's for bakery goods if I have to. Or, maybe I'll merely ask Old World to show me dates before I buy. Anyway, maybe my silly little review will urge Old World to manage there bakery stuff closer and further urge this reviewer to change his silly review in the future.

I had a pleasant visit, my meal was the 3 piece broasted chicken combo, this is a nice restaurant/ deli. > Chicken was served hot, crispy coating, good flavor and moist meat. The only problem was that I was not advised, when placing the order, that it would take 20 minutes to serve. Had I known, I would have purchased something else, as I was dining with others that had to wait for me to finish my meal. > Potatoes, very large skin-on wedges, tasty and served hot. > Rolls, excellent, served with butter and honey. > Potato salad, very good (another choice was coleslaw). > Pleasantly surprised with very friendly customer service provided by Rachel. Highly recommended.

Been going here since I was a kid. Waaaaaaaaay back. They had other locations that my family would frequent but this one is the one we visit now. I love everything i get but my fave is the eggplant parm. (OK. And lasagna. And chicken. And... Oh, who am I kidding. There's more) Great local business with delicious food and many choices. They also have a deli and bakery. So they've got dessert and something for lunch on Monday. Highly recommend. Go check it out.

They use to be in yhe Eastland Shopping Center for about 20 years then they moved to this location 9 years ago. The store looks good, clean & neat, the staff knowledgeable and friendly. The prices are good for the portions. Their soups change daily and for those who love a grilled cheese sandwich they have 3 types to choose from. This was my first time at this location. I will be back! ;)
